Niklas Anttila has signed a 4-year contract with Discmania. Anttila has been part of Discmania already for 6 years.
Anttila joins Kyle Klein and Gannon Buhr in Discmania’s Sky Team. He will get his own mold that will be part of Discmania’s lineup.
“I’m at that part of my career where I’ve established myself in the US and in Europe. I wanted a longer period so that I don’t need to think about these things”, Anttila tells for Frisbeegolfmedia. “Long contract gives me peace.”
Biggest contract in European markets?
There hasn’t been a lot of publicity with the contracts in Europe. Simon Lizotte is by far the highest paid European disc golfer with his million dollar deal – but it is safe to say that it is “an US contract” since Lizotte lives in US. Kristin Tattar makes at least half a million with her four year deal.
Discmania’s founder Jussi Meresmaa tells Frisbeegolfmedia that as far as they know “Anttila’s contract is the biggest European contract”. When asked, if Niklas can achieve a million euros during the next four years he replies: “It is possible, even probable”.
